A local business is set to make a splash at this year’s Sutton Coldfield Community Games after signing up to sponsor the popular event.
Boldmere-based Sutton Spas has dived straight in at the deep end with a commitment to support the Sutton Games both financially and with practical support in the run up to the July event.
The community-minded business joins established sponsors Green & Company, WAA Chosen, The Kick Start Academy, Porsche Sutton Coldfield and Fairfax Multi-Academy Trust, together with the Sutton Coldfield Charitable Trust, whose consistent commitment to the Sutton Games has been an instrumental influence on the event’s growth and success since being founded in 2012.
Sutton Spas, which sells, maintains and rents hot tubs from its premises on Boldmere Road, are no strangers to supporting community events, with the team currently preparing for a heroic effort to push a hot tub around the Great Midlands Fun Run on 3rdJune!
Sutton Games founder, Dennis Kennedy, comments: “I’m really pleased to be welcoming the Sutton Spas team to the Sutton Games family. They’re a great bunch with big hearts and a genuine desire to make a difference in their community. We’re very lucky to have a group of sponsors who all want to do so much more than just hand over a cheque. I genuinely believe it’s a key component of what makes the Games so special.
“Planning for this year’s weekend is now in full flow and this sixth event is shaping up to be a cracker. The number of activities is set to rival the record 100 we had last July, and our ambitions to make the Games inclusive and open to everyone, whatever their age, ability, background or interest continue to come fruition. It really is the event you won’t want to miss!”
Charlotte Hotchin from Sutton Spas adds: “We’ve been huge fans of the Sutton Games for a number of years and last year supported Dennis and his team with the set up, but this year have stepped up to take an even more active role. We’re a family business, this is our home town and we’re passionate about being involved with the great things that happen here. We’re very fortunate to have events like the Fun Run and the Sutton Games on our doorstep and we’re proud to be associated with them. We’re sure this is the start of a long partnership.”
